Lost Bay Resort Non resident Bear Hunts
Lost Bay Resort offers semi guided, baited bear hunts. We bait from 12 -17 stands within our official Bear Management Area Starting several weeks prior to the arrival of the first hunting party - as predicated by weather and natural feed conditions. You will be guided the first day to the bait stands – there will always be multiple stands for each hunter. After your arrival you can continue the baiting so you can keep an eye on the activity at each site.

A majority of the baits are located just off the water so the best transportation is by boat which is included in the hunt package. The remaining Part of our Bear Management area is located where the access is via vehicle. You will be doing your own skinning and cutting; a large freezer is available for the meat.
Lost Bay Resort packaged bear hunts include a boat and motor, the required housekeeping cabin or cabins, so you will need to bring your own food. Also provided is the bait for the six day bear hunt and an orientation of the bear hunting area when you arrive.
We take a maximum group of 5 hunters per six-day semi guided bear hunt. We only host 2 or 3 groups of bear hunters through our camp for the entire season. An ideal party size is 3 to 5 hunters under which condition your party will be the only bear hunters in camp.
Although black bear hunting season runs from mid August until the end of October, our bear hunts are offered in late August and September. All hunts start on Sunday. And the lodging is at Lost Bay Resort.
Fishing on Cliff Lake is outstanding, the big five species are present and abundant; Walleye, Muskie, Lake Trout, Northern and Small Mouth Bass. We recommend you bring fishing gear and purchase a Conservation Fishing License to enjoy the fishing when not hunting.
